Botanically, cashews are part of the drupe family. The actual cashew nuts are the stones of cashew apples. The nuts are usually dried in the sun for a couple of days after the harvest. Separating the cashew nut from its shell is hard work – but worth it.
Uses:
Most people use cashews as a snack or as a topping for breakfast bowls and granola. Cashews are also a great ingredient for Asian dishes and vegan options.
